Final outcome
For my final outcome , I wanted to present a art piece that was a celebration of my own introspection.

The first step of this art piece , was drawing the upper area of my face . I wanted the work to be disjointed and resemble a little of Lee Haejung . This first step took awhile as I wanted it to be realistic . But I did not want to forget the surrealism element of it , so I included the absence of the eyes. I did this because I believe in spirituality , eyes are a view into ones soul . The absence allows layers to the piece, as the eyes are presented around the artwork .

Drawing the face is a struggle as I want to replicate the pictures as much as possible . I have luckily completed this in one day . Though I have to be persistent with t the whole day . I like the outcome of it .
The second step , was as difficult as the first step as there wasn’t a as much features to draw . I think I really did well.

I completed this in one afternoon. My target for today , was to complete in one day and I did that, the details of the lips was hard but I thankfully completed it .

For the third step , it was time for both pieces to join together . This step strongly resembled the work of Lee Haejung . The important parts of this step was drawing the braids and joining the pieces . I created this separation to make it appear that the things inside (metaphorically) are escaping out of my conscience.

I wanted to just complete this work so I continued from yesterday . It wasn’t hard because I just had to join them together but the most difficult part was drawing the braids . This step was very tedious and took a lot of detail .

In spirituality , eyes are seen to be the most symbolic sensory organ . They represent many things like omniscience and
But how I am going to utilize it through my work, is how they can be a gateway into the soul .

Out of all facial features I find eyes the most difficult because they possess the most intricate details . This fact meant that it was the most time consuming out of the process.
For the first eyes , I think this came out the most successful meaning they replicate the original picture the most. This one is also my most favourite .
I don’t really like the second eyes . I think the iris look messy. Next time I will spend more time spending more white highlights and lightening some areas of the eye.

I wanted each eye to be looking at different angles . No, eye is looking directly at the viewer . The third eyes , are my second favorite . I think I successfully replicated it to the best of my abilities.
These were the as eyes I drew. It is a little bit for a struggling including every detail but after some time I completed all of them

Initially I wanted to add a background to the main artwork . I wanted a visual descriptor if the art piece wasn’t self explanatory. So I thought to add actual words. To create this I painted a funky font to demonstrate a more free image . I also used a black acrylic to make this more of a statement piece , unfortunately doing this was a downfall as it took the attention away from the initial art work. It also made the work look very messy and cluttered , so at the end I opted to make two separate art works . Which I will exhibit at the exhibition
